Make Every Step Count - Donate Your Old Sneakers!

This year, let’s run, walk, roll and gallop with purpose, not just on the course, but off it too. We’re teaming up with Sneakers4Good to collect gently worn, used, and new sneakers at the Earth Day Festival Chincoteague on April 25 from 11am -5pm at Robert Reed Park. Your old running shoes can help reduce waste and raise funds for our charitable partner, Restore America's Estuaries.

It’s simple: ✔ Bring a pair of gently used sneakers/walking shoes you’re no longer using ✔ Drop them off at our designated collection point ✔ Feel good knowing you’ve made a difference!

Let’s race toward a cleaner planet, together. Every pair helps a community in need and keeps sneakers out of landfills.

Pony Challenge would like to thank Monica at the Chincoteague Pony Centre for her warm assistance with providing a SWAG/medal pickup location for participants over the last few months! Her help has been invaluable and has made it easier for many Pony Swim Challenge participants to pick up their medals if they choose to not have it shipped.

We want to make sure everyone receives their medals and SWAG and if you have yet to pick up your medal, you can still do so at the Chincoteague Pony Centre! During January and February, they will be closed for visitors and preparing for the upcoming season, so please call ahead and arrange a time for pickup. There, we have a participant list available with the names that are still pending pickup. You can also message Pony Challenge on Facebook and we can help arrange a time. While you are at the Chincoteague Pony Centre learn about all the great events they have planned for 2026!
