In the late hours of Thursday, October 4th, a fierce fire broke out in a two-story house on Wynmoor Dr. in Cicero, NY with more than 80 firefighters from 11 units at the scene fighting the blaze. Thankfully the next door neighbor awoke the family and alerted them that their house was on fire and the heroic efforts of Cicero Police, Cicero Fire, EMS, and neighbors passing by that helped with the rescue. Four of the victims were hospitalized with burn injuries and smoke inhalation. Three of the firefighters were taken to the hospital for dehydration and heat exhaustion. Fortunately, everyone was able to escape the fire alive. The community has come together to do everything we can to lift up this family during their time of need. Our hearts and prayers go out to David, Maryann, Marisa, and Connor whose house was completely destroyed. Tragically a family friend was staying with them at the time of the fire and is recovering from 25% of his body being burned in the fire. In time, material things can be replaced but it is our families, friends and relationships that are invaluable. This page will help disseminate all the "official" information on the relief efforts and upcoming fundraising event. Thank you for all of your support during this incredibly tough time. Please help spread the word about this page. HOW PEOPLE CAN HELP
