After my last post, a lot of people said, “this is exactly how I feel,” or “no one talks about this kind of struggle.”

What surprised me most wasn’t that you related - but that many of you felt you were alone in feeling it. The truth is, so many of the hardest parts of entrepreneurship are invisible:

📍The constant second guessing
📍The pressure to make decisions without enough information
📍The mental load you carry even when you’re off - and how that impacts your relationships.

What has helped me is realizing that feeling uncertain doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong - it usually means you’re doing something NEW. 🧑‍🎓

I still feel that - but have stopped internalizing it so much and letting it make me feel insecure. Instead, I try to recognize i have to be brave and move forward without really knowing the answer - knowing I’ll figure it out eventually.✨

Bringing you something that will give you a bit more fiber in your diet! Super yummy, easy-to-make lentil patties on Dohjoy rolls (as the buns)!

How to Make Lentil Patties
2 cups dry red lentils, rinsed & soaked overnight
1 medium white onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
½ tablespoon chickpea flour
1 teaspoon coriander
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
Sea salt & pepper to taste
4-5 tablespoons olive oil for frying

Step 1: Prepare the Lentils
Rinse and soak 2 cups of dry red lentils overnight. This softens them and reduces cooking time.

Step 2: Make the Patty Mixture
In a food processor:
1. Add soaked lentils, diced onion, minced garlic, tomato paste, chickpea flour, coriander, Italian seasoning, sea salt, and pepper.
2. Pulse until well combined but still slightly chunky.

Step 3: Form the Patties
Using your hands:
1. Take small portions of the mixture and form into round patties.
2. Aim for about 25 small patties.

Step 4: Fry the Patties
In a skillet:
1. Heat olive oil over medium heat.
2. Fry patties in batches until golden brown on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).

Lemon Tahini Dip
⅓ cup runny tahini
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
Sea salt to taste
Water to thin if necessary
Fresh parsley, minced
Squeeze of lemon

Step 5: Prepare the Lemon Tahini Dip
In a mixing bowl:
1. Combine tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, sea salt, and enough water to achieve desired consistency.
2. Mix well until smooth.

Step 6: Serve on a Dohjoy roll (cut in half as a bun!)

In 2017, my life took a hard pivot. I left my house, marriage and stable career to pursue something that had been missing from my life for years: Purpose.

In truth, this pursuit was uglier and more chaotic than a “pivot.” It was a crisis. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted or needed at the time, I just knew I was drowning in the life I was living, and I was running out of time to truly live.🌊

The path to finding myself was not linear. And it certainly wasn’t smooth. The Universe threw everything it had at me, challenging me at every step: Covid. A flood. Six moves in six years. Lost relationships. Lost assets. A partnership in a startup business that failed.

After everything was stripped away - the places I called home, my nice things, my remaining assets - I was left with only myself and a few friends and family members who loved and supported me anyway. And I realized I was stronger, happier and more at peace with myself than I had ever been.🕊️

And that’s when the Universe knew I was ready for the next chapter. It literally presented me with Manna from Heaven - in the form of Dohjoy.🍞

The lessons I have learned over the past 10 years have given me the wisdom and confidence in myself to know that, this dream will not come easily, but it will also not undo me. I live every day grateful for the total, pure and honest pursuit of a dream. ✨

Now that our cult favorite Hearty Bakery Rolls are back in stock, start planning to treat yourself to these amazing 0g sugar, no refined carb, nutrient dense ✨CINNAMON ROLLS! ✨ Sinlessly delicious - and so easy to make!

To make the icing, you’ll need allulose, which you can buy in the sweetener aisle of most grocery stores. It has the bulk and flavor of real sugar with amazing blood sugar friendly properties. It’s our preferred sweetener in all of our products!

You’ll need:
4 tbsp butter
1 cup allulose
1/3 cup milk
Splash vanilla extract

Melt the butter over low heat, then add the allulose and milk, stirring until there are no clumps. Add the vanilla extract last. Mix until thickened and then allow to cool.

Brush the rolls with butter and warm in a 350 degree oven for about 4 minutes, then remove and brush with the glaze. Bake for another 3-5 minutes, then pull from oven, drizzle with more glaze and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and allulose.
