Over the weekend, we said goodbye to one of our original residents, George 😥

At about 30 years old, we are sure George saw many incredible things in his lifetime. When we found him in 2010 he had been retired and was hanging with the mini, Mr. Mahoney. We saddled him back up for Jenny to learn how to ride and we both couldn't have been more grateful for him. He was safe and kind and never batted an eye at anything we put in front of him. He always tried his hardest and never let us down.

After a couple years it was time for retirement again and George went to live out his life in a big, grassy field with his new buddy Sneakers. We are so thankful for Debbie Hudson and her family for allowing him to hang out on their farm and for taking care of him until the very end. On Saturday it was time to let him go...only knowing that he would be watching over all the RBF horses and all the babies yet to come.

RIP George. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts ❤️❤️❤️❤️

So sad. Another loss in the industry...another equine discipline affected by an accident...Another unnecessary loss of an accomplished rider. It might just be time for helmets to be mandatory in ALL competition, people.
