On January 6th, what began as a routine shift quickly became a life-or-death moment — and Mam Joof rose to the occasion.

While caring for her client, Mam noticed something wasn’t right. She acted immediately, called 911, and began CPR until emergency responders arrived. Paramedics later confirmed that her quick thinking and decisive action made all the difference.

Because of Mam’s training, calm presence, and compassion, caregiver CPR saved a life — and we couldn’t be more proud to honor her with the Lifesaver Award. 💙

📣⚽ This weekend! Don’t miss the first-ever Portland-area Power Soccer tournament, hosted by Northwest Adaptive Sports, happening February 21–22 in Beaverton, Oregon!

We’re excited to support this incredible event alongside our Regional Business Development Manager, Brad, whose son is part of the Power Soccer community. Teams are traveling in from California and Canada, making this a truly special and high-energy tournament you won’t want to miss.

Family Resource Home Care is proud to be donating a raffle basket to support the event and help raise awareness for this adaptive sport that empowers athletes of all ages to compete, connect, and thrive. 💙

We’re also hopeful this momentum will help spark a Seattle-based Power Soccer team next year—and we’d love to see even more communities get involved.

Please join us in celebrating Diane Sheehan, our Caregiver of the Month for January at our Family Resource Home Care Oregon City branch! 🌟

Diane began her caregiving journey with some uncertainty—but once she gave it a try, she truly excelled. She has proven to be dependable, always willing to help when needed, and a strong communicator with our office team. Most importantly, Diane has built deep trust with her clients. One client living with dementia has expressed more trust in Diane than in his own representatives—a powerful testament to the care and reassurance she provides.

When another caregiver needed to take an extended leave, Diane even adjusted her personal schedule without hesitation to support that same client and minimize confusion. Her compassion, flexibility, and commitment exemplify the very best of caregiving.

Thank you for all that you do, Diane—and congratulations on being Oregon City’s first-ever Caregiver of the Month. This recognition is so well deserved! 💙👏

Sometimes the simplest activities create the strongest bonds. 💙

Our caregiver Tiyakorn Sassano spent quality time puzzling with her clients as part of our Vancouver branch’s Puzzle Push. These shared moments encourage engagement, spark conversation, and bring joy to everyday care.

We love seeing caregivers and clients connect beyond the task list. 🧩

Our Story

We’re Your Resource.

When it comes to caring for a loved one, there is no simple right or wrong answer. We all do the best we can with the resources we have. Family Resource Home Care is dedicated to providing the day-to-day support people need, where they feel most comfortable, while constantly asking ourselves how we can serve people better.

We believe care is not a service you provide, but a connection you feel. This view drives our commitment to supporting best practices, honest communication and experienced caregivers who genuinely care.
