✨ Leadership Spotlight: Blair Morgan ✨

Blair Morgan’s journey into home care leadership didn’t happen overnight—it was shaped by hands-on experience, compassion, mentorship, and a deep understanding of what families and caregivers need most.

From working in senior living communities and memory care to supporting families through some of their most vulnerable moments, Blair’s Walla Walla home care leadership journey is rooted in empathy, growth, and service. Today, as Branch Manager, she leads with heart, humility, and lived experience. 💙

At Family Resource Home Care, caregiver recognition matters and our Eugene team is putting that into action👏

They recently launched a daily and weekly caregiver appreciation practice, recognizing caregivers for their hard work, growth, quality care, and client compliments. Caregivers are nominated by team members across the branch, celebrated in group messages, and receive rewards. Each week, one caregiver is randomly selected as Caregiver of the Week, creating even more moments of appreciation and connection.

We’re proud to share that Tamie Sombart is Eugene’s second-ever HCP of the Week! Tamie was recognized for outstanding job performance and her compassionate, reliable care that continues to make a meaningful difference for clients.

Congratulations, Tamie and thank you to our Eugene team for fostering such a supportive, uplifting culture. 💙👏

At Family Resource Home Care, it’s often the simplest ideas that make the biggest difference.

Our Vancouver Branch Manager Shayna recently launched a Puzzle Challenge for clients and caregivers to help bring a little extra light and fun to the long, dark days of January. Using simple puzzles, caregivers were encouraged to spend time puzzling with clients after ADLs were completed creating connection, engagement, and meaningful moments during each shift.

The response has been incredibly positive. Clients and caregivers shared how excited they were to participate, some clients even chose to add additional hours, and caregivers appreciated having a purposeful, enjoyable activity to fill extra time during visits.

It’s a great reminder that companionship, creativity, and connection are just as important as the tasks and we love seeing our branches find thoughtful ways to enhance the care experience. 🧩💙

Meet Emily Dean, a caregiver whose calm, confident response prevented a life-threatening emergency during an ordinary morning routine. 🏆💙

When her client suddenly began choking during breakfast, Emily immediately recognized the emergency and jumped into action. Thanks to strong training and quick thinking, she applied the proper techniques and successfully cleared the obstruction, helping her client breathe again and preventing what could have been a tragic outcome.

Emily’s preparedness, steady presence, and courageous response show exactly what it means to be a Lifesaver Caregiver. She turned a frightening moment into one of safety, gratitude, and relief.

Our Story

We’re Your Resource.

When it comes to caring for a loved one, there is no simple right or wrong answer. We all do the best we can with the resources we have. Family Resource Home Care is dedicated to providing the day-to-day support people need, where they feel most comfortable, while constantly asking ourselves how we can serve people better.

We believe care is not a service you provide, but a connection you feel. This view drives our commitment to supporting best practices, honest communication and experienced caregivers who genuinely care.
