I switched to 5-10-15 fertilizer for my sweet potatoes this year and ended up with the worst crop ever. Hardly no vines and slow growing. Next year I think I’ll go back to 8-8-8 .

New field of grass being planted today, Tifquik, an improved Tifton 9 Bahia variety. Looking forward to getting this field established.

I never have had any problem with army worms on Bahia hay fields, until this year.
I noticed the milky white on some crab grass and when I looked closer, I saw worms eating on Bahia. Carbaryl isn’t available at my farm supply so I opted for MustangMaxx. Works good but cost more that the other. Always something.

Started early with the Tedder, with the lower humidity there wasn’t much dew. What a beautiful day to work some hay. Doing some rolls and squares tomorrow.
This will almost finish up for the year.
