Senior Connection welcomes anyone 55 and older looking for a place that has offers activities and social networking. We are open 8 AM to 2 PM Monday thru Friday. A Monthly calendar is on our page that list events other than the normal scheduled activities.

Monday thru Friday Exercise Class 9 AM to 9:45 AM
Monday thru Friday Bingo 9:45 AM (Free)
Monday Art Class Lucy Sanders 9 AM
Tuesday and Thursday Diamond Art Class Barbara Barron Group Leader

M4A, Middle Alabama Program on Aging provides lunch at 11:15 AM. A $2 donation is suggested but not required. They also have many M4A programs that help Seniors.

We have a game room that is used for Bingo, Cards ..Rook, Shanghi Rummy, Canasta and others. We have some die hard checker players as well.

We have field trips, lunch bunches and other activities. We also welcome anyone who can bring new ideas and crafts.

Basically this is a place to be with people with similar interest. Perfect place to meet people if you have just moved into Chilton County. And you can’t find a better group of people. Senior Connection has been around since the 1990’s.

We had a pot luck lunch today. Sorry no photos. But we had a clear winner for best dishes. Actually…..a triple winner….Linda Calfee…old fashioned chicken and dressing, rutabagas and coconut cake. Real rutabagas!

Diamond Art is a favorite. Tuesday and Thursday are “official” days but there are always several people working on their project. Good thing about this is that you can do it at Senior Connection or at home. Barbara Barron is our Leader.

Had lots of people on our Game Room. Guys playing checkers…waiting on Larry. And Bingo tables are almost full. These ladies are faithful to their Bingo game. Linda Calfee makes it fun. Plus she does all the shopping for prizes. And she is much appreciated.

Barbara Barron, our Diamond Art Leader helps Shelia Austin show off two pictures she just finished. This is a great class held every Tuesday and Thursday. Lots of completed pictures on display. Come by and take a look at it.

Senior Connection would like to thank Mayor Price for talking with us last Wednesday about steps that are being made to create a facility that covers the needs of our active Senior population. He spoke to a standing room only crowd about what is involved … site selection, design, financing…and it is obvious that a lot of planning has already been done. We appreciate him letting us be part of this important community project.
