the problem is that in this era of social media we’re exposed to so many different:
• opinions
• offerings
• techniques
• practices
• “rights” and “wrongs”
ESPECIALLY when it comes to wellness and mindfulness.
😵💫 how are you supposed to know what to do when one person says one thing and then the next person says the other?
my greatest piece of advice is to stop 🛑overcomplicating it.
if you’re stressing about fitting a mindfulness or wellness practice into your day you’re missing the point.
mindfulness is about finding peace within the mundane, anchoring back into your body and carrying that stability into your day.
all of the wellness events, healing practitioners, courses, books, practices, techniques, do’s and dont’s are additional tools to help you dive deeper but not to be replaced with what actually matters:
✨ the way you show up in your day to day when no one is watching ✨
• mindfulness is waking up in the morning and giving your full presence to your family or pet before your phone
• it’s thanking your food before you eat it while steeping in gratitude for the plants, people, and animals that went into making it
• its feeling the warmth of your mug before you drink your hot tea
• its laughing at spilled water and saying to yourself, “well the floor needed to be cleaned anyway”
👁️ remember the beauty in the simplistic mundane, that is where the magic is.
