The juice of the week is Mango Passion, and let me tell you it is delicious! Made with mango, kiwi, strawberry, and carrot it is full of vitamins A and C, and antioxidants like beta-carotene and mangiferin. It is great for supporting immune health, cognition, cardiovascular health, vision, and reducing inflammation. It is recommended that you get 2 cups of fruit and 2-3 cups of vegetables daily per the CDC. A recent 2021 study out of Harvard showed that individuals who had 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day had a 10% reduced risk for death by cancer, and a 12% reduced risk for death by cardiovascular disease and stroke (D. Wang, et al. 2021). Juicing has been a great way for me and my family to increase our daily intake of these vital nutrients. To be well starts with eating well. Cheers!
