🐾 What if you were a Magical Kitty? 🐾

We’re exploring interest in a social skills group built around the tabletop RPG Magical Kitties Save the Day!

In this family-friendly role-playing game, kids become magical kitties who solve problems, help people, and save the day. Along the way we naturally practice important social and emotional skills like:

✨ perspective taking
✨ teamwork
✨ problem solving
✨ flexible thinking
✨ communication

This group would be designed for ages 7–17 and run in a small, supportive setting where kids can practice social skills while playing a collaborative game. After assessing interest, groups will be designated based on age bracket.

No RPG experience needed — the system is very beginner-friendly!

Spots will be limited so everyone gets a chance to participate.

✨ **ABA Term of the Week: Antecedent Strategies** ✨

Behavior doesn’t happen in a vacuum. What happens *before* a behavior matters—and that’s where antecedent strategies come in.

Antecedent strategies focus on setting kids up for success *before* challenges show up by increasing predictability, clarity, and choice. When expectations are clear and tasks feel manageable, problem behavior often decreases naturally.

💡 Simple examples include:
• Giving meaningful choices
• Providing warnings before transitions
• Using visual schedules or checklists
• Breaking big tasks into smaller steps
• Clearly explaining what comes next

These strategies aren’t just for therapy sessions—they’re practical tools families can use every day at home.

When we change the setup, we often change the outcome.
