Underneath the Prairie Sky: Introducing Kelliann Zahrt

Here beneath the prairie sky, we celebrate those who bring healing, heart, and possibility to our rural communities. Today, we’re honored to introduce Kelliann Zahrt—a woman whose path through healthcare has centered on helping others feel better, move better, and live with greater well-being.

Kelliann began her journey as a physical therapist assistant, where she spent 16 years helping patients recover from illness and injury. She loved watching people regain mobility and confidence, but over time, she felt called toward something more—more autonomy, more connection, and more opportunity to support the full spectrum of someone’s recovery and long-term health.

That calling inspired her to return to school and become a licensed massage therapist, expanding her skills to include hands-on care that nurtures the body, eases tension, and promotes deeper healing. She went even further, earning certifications as a personal trainer and nutritionist, weaving strength, movement, and nourishment into a holistic approach to wellness.

With her family rooted in Shell Rock, she recognized a gap in local wellness options. There was no place in town dedicated to those seeking better health, more balance, or guided support on their wellness journey. So she decided to build exactly what her community deserved - Rock Wellness.

Kelliann brings heart, integrity, and intention into every session she offers—whether she’s supporting someone through recovery, guiding them into strength, or helping them make lifestyle changes that matter. Her story is one of lifelong learning, dedication to well-being, and belief that small towns deserve big wellness opportunities too.

As the prairie quiets and the season deepens, we slow down and ground ourselves in appreciation and gratitude— for movement, for breath, for each other. This week’s classes invite us to move gently, pause often, and feel the steady support beneath us, feel the roots of gratitude.

Every remodel has a moment where you pause in the sawdust, look around, and think… this is going to be something special.

The 1893 Collective is becoming that dream—slowly, steadily, beautifully. With every new wall, every cleaned brick, every beam uncovered, telling its own story- this space is waking up. 🧱

There’s something magical about watching a 132-year-old building open up and breathe again.

The 1893 Collective is officially in the thick of remodel season — framing, insulation, patching, and planning.

🌾 Here beneath the prairie sky, we honor those who quietly strengthen the wellness of our rural communities. Today, we are grateful to highlight Teresa Negen, owner and operator and guiding heart behind Opportunity Therapy and Clarksville Fit Club - two spaces rooted in whole-body wellness, movement, and community care.

Teresa is a physical therapist with a passion for helping people move better, feel better, and live with more ease. Her outpatient clinic, Opportunity Therapy, focuses on improving quality of life through hands-on treatment, functional movement, education, and natural approaches that empower patients to take charge of their own health. Her clinic centers around whole-body wellness: restoring mobility, improving strength, reducing chronic symptoms, and helping people return to the lives they love.

At Clarksville Fit Club, Teresa provides a 24/7 fitness space so movement can be part of anyone’s daily routine - whether for prevention, recovery, or managing chronic conditions.

Raised with small-town values and a deep respect for the natural world, Teresa believes movement is medicine. She uses evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, exercise, dry needling, modalities, hydration and nutrition education, posture guidance, and supportive lifestyle habits to help decrease dependence on medications and increase overall function.

One of the unique offerings inside her clinic is her Intentional Health Mart - a small, curated selection of wellness products supported by evidence. She calls it "intentional" because Teresa wholeheartedly believes health is a choice, made through small decisions we practice each day. If a simple, natural tool can improve someone’s wellbeing, she wants our community to have access to it.

Through both of her businesses, Teresa has built a career grounded in purpose - helping people feel better, move better, and live better.

Tonight, try a simple unplug ritual:
