When it comes to taking your newborn out, especially for travel, timing matters! ✈️

For flights, we typically recommend waiting until around 2 months, so they’ve had their first round of vaccines. This helps lower the risk of illness in an enclosed space, and a little older is even better if you can!

We’re working through your questions and will answer many of them in upcoming videos. If you have a question, comment below, send us a message, or give us a call! We’re always happy to help 🤍

When in doubt, it’s okay to set boundaries and protect your baby. If you have questions, we’re always here to help! Follow for more practical parenting advice from the experts.

The pediatricians at Premier Medical Group offer our condolences and share in the heartache with the community, patients, families, and friends.
As our community responds to the tragic loss of life, injuries, and emotional trauma experienced by Kenwood Middle School students, faculty, staff, and families, we remember that the effects of tragedy reach deep into our community as well.

1. If you or your child is experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 for help with crisis intervention.

2. Whether your child processes their thoughts and feelings in private or openly, we recommend parents, caregivers, and other trusted adults remain available. Simply being nearby and attentive to needs for hugs or a listening ear can be priceless.

3. We are here to help. Reach out to your pediatrician or counselors for professional assistance, if needed.
We also recognize the role that spiritual faith and community support play in fostering resilience. If your family utilizes faith-based counseling, we fully support its integration into your child’s care and recovery plan.

4. We often feel helpless during such difficult times. Allowing or assisting your child in finding ways to help can reintroduce joy and bring a sense of fulfillment out of tragedy. Some examples include cooking a meal, writing a card of encouragement, sketching a family portrait, or visiting with classmates.

Did you know many common childhood illnesses are caused by viruses?

Viruses usually run their course in about 3–7 days and don’t require antibiotics. But if symptoms aren’t improving, fevers are high or lasting longer than expected, it’s always a good idea to have your child checked out.

Our Same-Day Clinic can help determine what’s going on and get your child the care they need. 🤍
