No one has discovered how to stop the aging process. Yoga practitioners have, however, known for centuries the ways to slow the age-related changes that can affect the quality of life. In this series, you will learn how to use yoga safely to age with greater strength, flexibility, balance, and agility. Yoga is a full-body, weight-bearing exercise that will help you to build muscle and guard against bone loss. The practice will also help you improve your mobility and functional ability, helping to maintain physical independence and prevent falls. You will learn techniques that can be used at home to reduce stress, back pain, digestive trouble, sleeplessness, and many other challenges that arise as we mature. Anyone looking to invest in a healthier body for the long-run, should take this class. That includes mature beginners, people at any age getting back to practice after a hiatus for an injury or other challenges and anyone looking for a safe and challenging, full-body workout.
This yoga series will not stop you from getting older, but it will help you build a healthier body and mind to make the best use of the time you have.
