Congratulations to Vicky Sullivan on her finish at Sky to Summit 50k! She traveled all the way from Delaware for her first experience running in the North Georgia Mountains and did an amazing job and accomplished her goal of finishing in under 9 hours!šŸ’ŖšŸ»
When Vicky reached out for coaching she was recovering from an injury and she has worked so hard to build back her strength and confidence- she tackled the elevation out there like a champ and I couldn’t be more proud of her! You’ve made an amazing comeback Vicky and I’m so grateful to be part of your journey!ā¤ļø

Let's give a huge congratulations to Rachel who just earned a buckle at the Javelina 100!
Rachel is the definition of dedication. As a mom of busy young children, her life is a whirlwind, yet she never misses a training run. Her consistency is second to none, showing that even with a chaotic schedule, commitment to a goal is possible.
Rachel’s impact stretches far beyond her own training and accomplishments- she’s a constant cheerleader for all of my other athletes, always there with a word of encouragement and support. She never hesitates to step up to pace and help my other athletes out at races whenever she can, often sacrificing her own time to help others achieve their dreams.
Rachel is more than just an athlete I coach; she's a true friend and an invaluable member of the Strong Epic Life family. Her committed spirit and selfless support make her success feel like a win for all of us! I’m so proud of you Rachel!!

Huge cheers for Moiez on finishing the Sky to Summit 50K this past weekend!
Moiez’s journey has been inspiring. After being an avid hiker his whole life, he decided to take the leap into the trail running world last year. Sky to Summit marked his second ultra finish—a great achievement showing how quickly he's adapted to running trails.
The race threw him a curveball when he started experiencing IT band issues, making the steep downhill sections difficult. While many would have thrown in the towel, Moiez kept moving. I’m always reming my athletes- If there's time on the clock, we keep moving. Moiez smartly adjusted his plan, recognizing he had enough time to hike out the tough sections and still finish. He made some smart choices and got it done! I’m really proud of you Moiez! Now on to that 50 miler šŸ˜‰

Huge congratulations to Ryan, who just finished his first 50-miler at the challenging Hare Mountain 50 Miler—and absolutely crushed it by taking First Place Overall! šŸ†
I always tell my athletes that it’s smart to go into an ultra a little nervous- we need to respect the distance and the terrain. We knew with 10,000’ of elevation gain that this wasn’t going to be an easy 50 miler, but I did feel confident about his abilities to get it done… he clearly took it beyond just finishing :) I am so proud of him for his hard work out there- the course was extremely technical and the temps got really cold and it poured rain.
This victory is a testament to trusting the training, respecting the course and sticking to the race plan. Congratulations Ryan!

Congratulations to Kelly Stoner Baker and Melissa Gabriel on their Sky to Summit 25k finish! For the 4+ years I’ve been coaching them, they have proven to be dedicated partners in crime šŸ˜‰ They never disappoint me with their antics, but they also never disappoint me with their commitment to training- I’m really proud of these ladies for showing up time after time and getting stuff donešŸ’ŖšŸ»

Happy 84th Birthday to Mike!

Let's give a massive birthday cheer to Mike, who turns 84 years young today! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‚
I’ve had the privilege of coaching Mike for four and a half incredible years and in that time he has proven that age is truly just a number. Since he started running in his 50’s he’s completed nearly 200 ultramarathons. At 84, not only is Mike celebrating a birthday, but he's also heading to Kansas this weekend for a 50K!
Since we started working together, his list of accomplishments includes multiple finishes at both the 50K and 50-mile distances.
Mike's remarkable running career includes:
* Finishing the iconic Badwater 135
* Finishing multiple 100-milers.
* Holding numerous USATF records.
Mike your dedication, discipline, and infectious passion for running continue to inspire every single person you meet. You remind us all that it’s never too late to start a big goal and that the finish line is waiting at every age.

Join me in wishing Mike the happiest of birthdays and the best of luck on his 50K this weekend!

This weekend in the rainy conditions at the 7 Bridges Half Marathon, my athlete Phil Wright and his good friend and fellow athlete Jakob once again crossed the finish line together!
For over 10 years, Phil has been pushing Jakob in his racing wheelchair, tackling 20+ races together, including events up to full marathon distance. Their partnership is a powerful testament to friendship, determination, and the pure joy of shared accomplishment.
Watching Phil's strength and commitment as he powers Jakob through mile after mile is nothing short of awe-inspiring. And Jakob's spirit is a huge source of motivation for everyone on the course.
They weathered the elements at 7 Bridges, showing true grit and securing another strong finish. Their journey together is a beautiful reminder that running is so much more than just a sport—it's about connection, perseverance, and proving that anything is possible when you work together.
I’m really proud of both of you and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to coach you Phil- I love being on this journey with you!

Congratulations to Jessica Myers-Adams on finishing the Muleskinner 50 Miler this past weekend!
She really ran a smart, strong race- she came across the finish line with a huge victory: she beat her time from last year and ran her fastest 50 mile time for a sub-11 finish!
Jessica's story is one of a really awesome transformation. Coming from a strong background in road running, she made the choice to shift her focus to the unpredictable world of ultra-distance trail running. Over the last couple of years, she has made a phenomenal transition, growing into an incredibly strong and accinplished trail athlete.
Her performance at Muleskinner is a testament to her dedication, adaptability, and pure grit. I am so proud to watch her journey continue to unfold, faster and stronger with every race. šŸ’ŖšŸ»ā¤ļø

A HUGE shout-out to Jay on his incredible finish at the Uwharrie 100K!
Jay's race story is the perfect example of the mindset I push with all my athletes: Never Quit.
Around mile 42, Jay hit a wall. Instead of letting it swallow him, he made the smart decision to listen to his body. He took a strategic, necessary break, using an hour to rest and regroup, get his nutrition back on track and reignite his mental fire.
Most people would see that hour break as the end of the race, but Jay saw it as a reset. He got back on the trail and finished the remaining miles with incredible resolve, crossing the finish line with hours left on the clock!
This finish isn't just about the distance; it's about the unshakeable mental toughness to keep moving when things get dark. Jay proved that slowing down to save the race is often the key to finishing it.
I’m really proud to coach someone with this kind of determination- congratulations on a solid race Jay!

Help me give a huge shout-out to the phenomenal Tracy Gretick on completing the Chicago Marathon—for the sixth time!
A six-time finish at any marathon is a testament to consistency, and Tracy is truly one of my most determined and consistent athletes. Over the years, I've watched her navigate every curveball life can throw—yet she never wavers from her commitment.
No matter what, Tracy prioritizes her health and fitness and always finds a way to get her training done. That is the mark of a true champion, and the secret behind this incredible streak of success. She is a powerful reminder that dedication and consistency are the ultimate ingredients for achieving long-term goals.

Join me in celebrating Tracy’s amazing grit, passion, and sixth Chicago finish!

Let's send a huge wave of applause to the truly inspirational Judith Dobbs who not only completed the Mystery Mountain Marathon, but trained for it while juggling a demanding life! 🤩
Her marathon training took place while she balanced a full schedule of family commitments, a busy work life, and dedicated volunteering. Getting to the starting line was a marathon in itself, and her finish is a powerful testament to her unparalleled discipline and time management.
She proves that being an athlete doesn't mean putting life on hold. It means finding a way to integrate passion with responsibility, pushing limits, and showing up—day after day. Judith is a shining example that with dedication, you can do it all.

Join me in celebrating Judith's achievement! Her grit on the course is matched only by her dedication to her community and family.

Join me in offering a massive congratulations to Nan Kinkaid on completing the Canal Corridor 100! This incredible achievement marks her second 100-mile finish—and I am just so proud of her!
What makes this victory even sweeter is reflecting on how far Nan has come. I started coaching Nan when she had completed a marathon distance, and in the span of just one dedicated year, she progressed all the way to her first 100-mile buckle. Her journey is the definition of consistent progress and unwavering commitment- she manages to juggle a career and busy kids’ schedules and still gets all of her training done. Nan is a powerful reminder that with a solid plan, focused training, and endless grit, athletes can break through their own perceived limits.

Please join me in giving a huge cheer for Nan! Her journey inspires us all to set our sights a little higher!
