On Friday, we gathered to celebrate the people who make the Eliza Jennings mission possible every day.
During our Eliza Excellence Awards, President & CEO Rich Boyson recognized team members whose work reflects the very best of our organization. Awards were presented in several categories, honoring employees who lead by example and strengthen the culture of care across our campuses. We also recognized our Employees of Note and celebrated milestone service anniversaries, including team members who have dedicated decades to serving older adults.
Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees, and thank you to the entire Eliza Jennings team for the work you do every day!

💗 **Palentine’s Day at The Renaissance!** 💗
Last week our Independent Living residents gathered for a heart‑warming **Palentine’s Day Luncheon** filled with friendship, laughter, and plenty of sweet moments.

This special celebration was all about honoring the joy of companionship — because love isn’t just romantic; it’s the connections we share every day. 🌸✨

From delicious food to lively conversation, it was a wonderful afternoon spent with wonderful people. Served in our Bistro restaurant, the menu included 3 courses.

First Course:
Cup of Blueberry Soup
Scone with Whipped Butter

Second Course:
Waldorf Chicken Salad with Mélange of Fresh Fruit on a bed of Mixed Greens

Third Course:
Lemon Bar, Mini Éclair, Puff Pastry with Strawberry Fan Garnish

We’re grateful for a community where neighbors become friends, and friends feel like family. 💕

🎶 The hills are alive at The Renaissance Retirement Campus! 🎶

Our Independent Living residents are hard at work practicing for their 4th annual musical performance—and this year is going to be our most exciting production yet!

We’re thrilled to announce a special partnership with Baldwin Wallace University’s Music Department as we bring The Sound of Music (Senior Edition) to life. With 55 talented residents in the cast, rehearsals are already buzzing with energy, laughter, and remarkable dedication.

From first notes to final bows, our residents are proving once again that creativity, community, and the joy of performance have no age limit. 💛

Winter Storm Heroes at The Renaissance! ❄️
Even a winter storm couldn’t stop our incredible community from taking care of one another. This weekend, our dedicated staff and amazing residents joined forces to prepare and deliver over 150 meals across our campus!
💙 Our residents helped to deliver meals to neighbors in the Apartments, and our devoted team members braved the snow to make made sure our Villa residents were cared for—despite icy driveways and challenging weather.
One resident summed it up perfectly:
“It was great to be so well taken care of and we appreciate how everything was organized and done! Bless all of you!”
👏 A heartfelt thank you to our dishwashers, kitchen staff, servers, drivers, Resident Services team, and especially our residents who jumped in to help. Your teamwork, compassion, and resilience truly shine.

Recently, our residents enjoyed another unforgettable Wine Dinner featuring exquisite pairings curated by our talented chefs and sommelier. 🍷👨‍🍳
Menu Highlights:
🍇 Boundary Breaks Medium Dry Riesling paired with Split Pea Soup topped with crisp bacon, crème fraîche, and garlic crostini.
🍷 Graziano Red Zinfandel alongside Sticky Chinese Pork and Pineapple over Rice.

Eliza at Chagrin Falls was proud to partner with Bainbridge Area Food for Friends and Small Hands, Big Dreams for an intergenerational food drive. Together, our community donated over 100 bags of food and essential items to help neighbors in need. We love starting the new year with kindness in action.

The Devon Oaks staff party was the latest event on our packed holiday calendar! The team had a blast playing games, winning prizes, and exchanging homemade cookies. One of the best parts of the holiday season are these special parties celebrating the staff who serve our residents!
