This is from 2019 five years before they tried to pass a bill for intermediate care facilities and all group homes last year. That legislation was very poorly written and had no support from any of the agencies involved. The Bill Failed like I told them it would fail, even the media couldn't see how poorly the legislation was
written , but they only care about a story at the minute it is aired.

To Kill a Bill....Thank you Senator Ingram and Senator Antonio for yet not only killing this legislation that would add language to amend Esther's Law, but for doing absolutely nothing to help the problem for the past three years. You show how much your dedication is to our most vulnerable loved ones in long term care facilities.

Let's see what the study shows us on Esther's Law and camera laws. This most interesting election year in U.S. history is going to be in 2026.

We tried to get a camera law for Alabama and the Health Care Association, and the media opposed the camera law. The media didn't even give us a chance to explain the law.
This is why we are fighting for a federal law.

This Petition is for a Federal Law that will mandate all long term care facilities to allow a camera in residents rooms if they want one. It is not a mandatory law. Currently there are 20 states that have some sort of a camera law, this legislation will make a law is All States. Many of the states that have this law don't include assisted living facilities, group homes, intermediate care facilities, long term hospital care, and hospice care.

This legislation is important to all states even the ones that already have a camera law. This will expand their camera law. The 2026 elections is the best time to get a federal law

This law has failed in many states, four times in Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Arizona, California, New York, Colorado,

Everyone knows someone that is, has been or will be in a long term care facility. There is no reason not to sign this petition.

This is what I tell people about evidence. The state substantiated the evidence and the prosecutor could not.

Though the board found the evidence, which included testimony from nursing home staff and the male resident, credible and consistent with the allegations, Taylor said the board can consider much more expansive evidence than prosecutors can. She said their burden of proof standard is much lower than hers, which is beyond a reasonable doubt.
