Acne isn’t a hygiene problem — it’s a medical one.

When I was a teenager with bad acne, someone once asked me in front of other people if I’d ever washed my face. That kind of comment sticks with you.

Blackheads aren’t dirt.
They’re oil + dead skin cells that oxidize when exposed to air.
Scrubbing harder won’t fix acne — it usually makes it worse.
And shaming people for their skin helps absolutely no one.
Be kind to your skin.

And be kind to people dealing with acne šŸ¤

Derm conference reality šŸ˜…šŸ§“

You might think people are exaggerating about the American Academy of Dermatology… they are not.
Full-size skincare. Everywhere.

Had to buy a second suitcase just to get home.

Most of this ends up going to friends/family anyway…
but if you’re the psychiatrist who made that video—let me know what you want šŸ˜„

Dermatologists everywhere felt that šŸ˜…
Yes, sunscreen works. It reduces skin cancer risk and slows photoaging—wrinkles, dark spots, and loss of collagen.
Use it daily. Your future skin will thank you.

POV: your injector says ā€˜trust me’ šŸ˜³šŸ’‰

If this is the result… we have a problem.
Satire aside — this is why outcomes matter more than promises.
A simple rule: šŸ‘‰ If you can spot the filler, it’s probably too much šŸ‘‰ If they don’t look natural, you won’t either

What I tell my patients: ✨ Subtle always beats obvious ✨ Refreshed, not ā€œdoneā€ ✨ You, just slightly upgraded

My go-to for natural results: • Biostimulators — build, don’t inflate • Strategic Botox — soften lines, not expression • Lasers — improve skin without changing your features
And yes — always look at your injector’s work (and their face).
Because ā€œjust a little fillerā€ should never turn into… this šŸ˜‚

These aren’t normal eyelashes… šŸ‘ļøšŸ¤Æ
Some people grow lashes in places they definitely shouldn’t—and each cause is completely different.
Here’s how to tell them apart šŸ‘‡
1ļøāƒ£ Ectopic eyelashes Lashes growing in the wrong location entirely (even inside the eye 😳) → Hair follicles are misplaced from the start or after trauma
2ļøāƒ£ Trichofolliculoma A benign follicle tumor that looks like a bump with tiny hairs sticking out → Classic ā€œhair growing out of a poreā€ moment
3ļøāƒ£ Distichiasis A hidden second row of lashes → Growing from meibomian glands, rubbing against the eye šŸ‘ļø
Why this matters: They may look similar—but treatment is completely different for each.
Miss this → you treat it wrong.

This melanoma hides where you’d never look šŸ‘€

Not all melanomas come from the sun.
This type shows up on palms, soles, and under nails—places most people ignore.
It’s called acral lentiginous melanoma… and it’s often caught late because of where it lives.
Even Bob Marley died from this.
No warning sunburn. No obvious risk factors. Just a spot that’s easy to miss.
šŸ‘‰ If you notice a new or changing dark area in these spots, don’t ignore it.
Save this—you’ll forget to check otherwise.

You didn’t just ā€˜rip off a mole’… 😬
Dermatologist here šŸ‘‹ I see this panic all the time.
If something peels or falls off, it’s usually not a true mole.
šŸ‘‰ Real moles are rooted deeper šŸ‘‰ They don’t just come off like that
So take a breath—you probably didn’t just pull off skin cancer.
And no… you don’t need to put it under your pillow for the tooth fairy šŸ§šā€ā™€ļø
If anything looks different or grows back, get it checked 🩺

Spot the melanoma šŸ‘€āš ļø
One of these is Melanoma. The other is a harmless Seborrheic keratosis.
They can look similar—but the consequences are very different.
Here’s what to look for:
• Melanoma → irregular, evolving, multiple colors
• Seborrheic keratosis → ā€œstuck-on,ā€ waxy, uniform
Even dermatologists biopsy these sometimes.
If something is changing, bleeding, or just looks off—get it checked.

Can you tell which is cancer? šŸ‘€
One of these is Melanoma.ļæ½The other is a benign Seborrheic keratosis.
Drop your guess below ā¬‡ļø
I’ll reveal the answer and exactly how to tell the difference in tomorrow’s video.

Freckles are BACK? 🤯✨
We spent years removing freckles… now we’re tattooing them back on.
Same with redness, skin tone, hair—trends always flip.
Cosmetic treatments aren’t the problem.
Losing your baseline is.

The best work doesn’t change who you are—
it just makes you look like a more rested version of yourself.

These will fade, soften, and shrink—and the placement is honestly great.

āš ļø Disclaimer: This isn’t a critique of her appearance—she looks great. This is about the broader pattern of constantly chasing a different look.
Trends change. Your face shouldn’t have to.

āš”ļø 5 derm takes people argue about

IPL ≠ laser (and it matters) āš”ļøā‰ šŸ”¦ IPL uses broad-spectrum light, not a single wavelength—so it’s less precise and can cause more off-target inflammation. It works for some things (like diffuse redness), but when you want targeted results, lasers are usually the better tool.

GLP-1 shaming is wild šŸš«šŸ—£ļø These meds treat real disease: diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome. They’re not ā€œcheating.ā€ Like any treatment, they have risks and should be used appropriately—but judgment isn’t medical care.

Red light for HAIR GROWTH is a game changer
The first red light device I used was the LaserBand from Hairmax. Before long, I was getting comments from friends about my hair growth, with the rest of my hair routine remaining the same.

Low-dose doxy ≠ typical antibiotic šŸ¦ āž”ļøšŸŒø At sub-antimicrobial doses, doxycycline acts primarily as an anti-inflammatory. That means rosacea control with far less impact on gut flora compared to traditional antibiotic dosing.

If a clinic makes you sign an NDA… RUN! 🚩 Some places use aggressive NDAs to discourage negative reviews or transparency. That’s a red flag. You should never feel legally pressured to stay silent about your medical experience.
