Let’s talk about SELF TALK

Trainers & coaches aren’t therapists, but we do know a thing or two about how your self talk and attitude in the gym affects your training

It’s not rocket science to be able to see how the way you talk to yourself & how you feel can impact your ability to lift heavy weight and recomposition your body

You can literally trick your body into doing something once you convince your mind you can do it🧠

Pro athletes are aware of this. That’s why they will isolate themselves, meditate, say positive affirmations, and visualize success before a big sporting event

You don’t have to be an elite level athlete to reps the benefits of thinking & speaking positive things

Not only will this have positive impacts towards your health & fitness goals. It will also improve the overall quality of your everyday life

If you’re having a hard time switching to this sort of mindset, try incorporating the help of a trainer or coach

They can identify when you are talking down to yourself and help you change your language to instead uplift yourself šŸ’ŖšŸ½šŸ”„

Get to know and understand your approach before stepping into the gym 🧠

There’s nothing wrong with working out, especially if you’re new to the gym or if you just want to take a break from structure and mix it up a bit

But for those of you who want bigger thighs, glutes, or a flatter belly, then I’d say 90% of the time you need a training program

Training programs are superior for results for a reason

They’re balanced. Involve progressive overload, and they incorporate repetition. The key to transforming your body is doing the same things over and over again.

Training programs also involve some sort of nutritional guidance as well. Look to follow a training program for 4 - 12 weeks

You deserve the body & confidence you want so why not train smart to get therešŸ’ŖšŸ½

There are winners & their are losers in life. The faster you accept this the higher the likely hood of you ending up on the winning side

Life itself is competitive by nature.

There’s that quote that says ā€œI’m not in competition with anyone but myselfā€

That’s a good outlook to have because it’s keep you focused on your tasks and eliminates comparison

However, life is still very much a competition against forces that want to deter you from being great

And yourself. Most of the time, you are you greatest enemy

In order to master yourself,

get in the best shape of your life

and become the version of you that you dream about

You have to adopt the right mindset

Throwback to May 6th ā–¶ļø yesterday progress since then

Steadily climbing back to where I was before Ramadan

Since then I’ve been focusing more on training like an ā€œeveryday athleteā€ rather than an elite athlete, because I’m not an elite athlete…

I’m not competing in way shape or form so why put my body & mind through hell

Achy joints. Injuries. Irritability. Extremely strict eating etc to obtain a certain level of fitness that I don’t even want to sustain long term

I’m not even counting calories right now. 7 years of doing this I’m at a point where I don’t need to do that everyday

This DOESN’T mean I’m not pushing myself or working to make progress. I’m just training smart and being sensible as well

I’ve also been working on my spiritual & financial wellness as well. Aspects of life that to me are just as important as the physical body

So with all this being said, take a honest look at how you’re training in the gym and eating

If you aren’t an elite athlete getting paid,

it’s ok to take a step back and reassess your training approach for longevity & enjoyment

You aren’t ā€œsoftā€ or lazy for not wanting to go so hard that you need to pop a Advil every morning because you are in so much pain

That’s toxic gym culture and a lot of people injure themselves or take drugs just to fit in

Nah don’t do that because those same people that you feel that pressure from to do that stuff aren’t going to cover your hospital bill or even be beside you if you hurt yourself

Train smart guys. This actually makes you hard and once again, smart🧠

This world that we live in has been built on fear & not loving yourself

They don’t want you to love yourself

They want you to have low confidence & self esteem

They don’t want you to dream big and talk big goals

They don’t want you to start a business or talk about investing

They don’t want you to form a relationship with God

They don’t work smart. They want you to work hard til you stress yourself out

They don’t want you to walk around with your head held high

They don’t want you to care about your health

They don’t want you to be yourself

They don’t want you to be positive

They don’t want you to heal

They don’t want you to be fearless

Well do it anyway.

When you love yourself you become HIGHLY attractive.

Yeah in the sense of how the opposite s*x views you. Thats not that big of deal though

When you love yourself you also become highly attractive to your goals, and the right people who are meant to compliment your life

Things just tend to gravitate towards you because you’re set apart and loving yourself

Now is the time to shift to this mindset. Don’t you want to level up?

A common roadblock that’s probably stopping you from starting and staying consistent

ā€œShould I just make everything myself or should I have someone do it for me?ā€

From the outside looking in, meal prepping yourself can seem like a hassle

For some and it can be depending on your lifestyle. But it does give you the skill to cook & you have more control over what goes in your food

It may be better for some to enlist the help of a meal prep service or eat out which can save you time

Downside is that you have a bit less control of how your food is prepped

Listen, don’t over complicate it because that can stop you from starting period

Instead experiment with both and see what’s work best for you and what gets you results that can stick

Some people look at it as boring. It can be boring sometimes.

Most things worth while in life take time and are boring at times. But it’s worth the wait and the effort.

In a world of instant gratification and dopamine addiction, start choosing the ā€œboringā€ slow and steady route.

Lack of sleep and how it impacts your fat loss goals

Swipe left, Save & Share with a friend who needs this reminder

We get so caught up in the daily tasks of life that we forget how important quality sleep is

I get that we all have to take care of business. Let’s start treating quality sleep like it’s just as important as any other task you have during the day

Why? Because your quality of life depends on it

Any of my clients past or present who are doing what they need to be doing for nutrition and training, yet they still aren’t seeing results

end up having a sleeping problem. Meaning they don’t get enough of it

Sleep Tips:

ć€½ļø Start with getting better sleep before nutrition or intense workouts

ć€½ļø Set a bedtime hour and stick to it. If your schedule changes then plan ahead

ć€½ļø Stop scrolling your phone while laying in bed. Don’t use at least 1 hour leading up to bedtime

ć€½ļø Burn incense or oils to calm your nervous system while getting ready to sleep

ć€½ļø Close your blinds to make the room dark or use a eye mask

ć€½ļø Make the room somewhat chilly

And like all CEO of successful brands, having a team of people surrounding you to help you improve & manage your position is a crucial piece of your success

That team of people can be looked at as the different categories of your overall wellness

Each category plays an important role and relies on all the other categories for sustainability and balance

Swipe left to take a look at all the categories

Are you balanced in all of them? Or do you need help finding your balance?
