Stretch Breathe Pray A place to quiet your soul. "Taste and see that the LORD is good." Psalm 34:8

Believing that our life-giving breath comes from God, that our bodies were created for movement, and that our being should honor God, Stretch Breathe Pray was born. This journey continues to reveal new insights into how our amazing, God-created bodies function best, and how our soul flourishes and grows.

We will continue our journey through Psalms in March. I was really blessed by delving into Psalms 1 – 4 for our February classes. We rooted ourselves into the streams of living water in Psalm 1, agreed with the LORD on His plans in Psalm 2, felt His shield around us in Psalm 3, and waited for Him in our Psalm 4 class on Purim.

March’s classes will be based on Psalms 5 - 9. I will offer online yoga on Mondays and Thursdays at 7:00 pm for the month of March from Monday, March 1st to Thursday, April 1st for a flat fee of $35 for one day a week or $70 for two days a week, payable to me on Venmo or PayPal. If money is an issue, no worries – it would be more important for you to fellowship with us than to worry.

Please RSVP by February 26th if you'd like to have the Zoom link sent to you.

The lyrics from A Mighty Fortress is Our God seem not only apt for our current environment, but a great reminder that one word, even a breathe from God, can topple the house of cards built on deceit. His kingdom is forever. Psalm 46

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;

Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him

That word above all earthly pow’rs, no thanks to them, abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him who with us sideth
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also
The body they may kill; God’s truth abideth still
His kingdom is forever

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Jesus=Freedom

Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message)

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

Have you seen God working in the events our worldwide community finds itself in in 2020? An incredible number of dark events have been exposed to the light. Light reveals, heals, and cleanses. People are questioning their lives and looking for greater meaning. Jesus came for such a time as this, "to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn." Afterwards, we are told that he will "grant to those who mourn in Zion - to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified." When that happens, "They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations." May the LORD keep shining healing light and revealing all of the dark corners, so that He may be glorified, and we may stand firmly and rebuild the ancient ruins. Isaiah 61:1-4

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but WE RISE AND STAND UPRIGHT. Psalm 20:7 Looking at the Hebrew roots, "We rise" means to stand, be set, be fixed, maintain oneself, be established, be confirmed, "Stand upright" means to testify, bear witness, protest, warn, exhort, admonish, charge, give warning. May we not trust in the things of this world, but in our LORD, and may we stand and endure as we testify, bear witness, exhort, and warn. And may we remember that "The law of the LORD revives the soul." Psalm 19:7 Praying that your souls may be refreshed.
