Our nursing team had a spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween with a Trunk or Treat event at our hospital. 🎃

Units decorated their “trunks,” and associates enjoyed trick-or-treating, visiting all the displays, and even grabbing a drink from the Starbucks-themed display. Guests also voted for their favorite display, and Dr. Karen Wyche, our chief nursing officer, announced the winners:

1st Place: ICU – Interactive Pirate display
2nd Place: IR/Cath Lab – Fun Starbucks display
3rd Place: 3 West – Entertaining Circus display

Congratulations to all the units that participated. It was a fun and festive event for everyone! 👏

When Suzanne got a callback after her screening mammogram showed abnormal findings, she was surprised—there was no family history of breast cancer, and she hadn’t noticed any changes.

Further testing, including an MRI and biopsies, revealed invasive lobular carcinoma in her left breast and atypical cells in her right. Thanks to early detection, Suzanne was able to receive state-of-the-art breast cancer care close to home.
