Earlier this year I participated in the loveliest of events hosted by my good friend .annb . Sarah is a fashion designer, and this past spring, she showcased a series of garments that were designed to embody the talent and beauty behind the works of artists from various visual arts. For each of her pieces, she drew inspiration from art forms such as pottery, painting, calligraphy, photography, and even landscape architecture. Her pottery-inspired dress brought to life both my work as well as my process of making as a potter. From the earth tones to the ceramic tiles to the canvas cloth, it was an honor be a source of inspiration for her dress and to be a part of this incredible project that honors so many different manners of creating.

Also, while I'm here gushing about Sarah, I thought I'd also mention that she MADE my wedding dress. Out of nothing. With her own two hands. If that's not a true & talented friend, idk what is. Feel free to take a look back at my last post to admire some more of her handiwork!
