Hey everyone! I’m excited to have you join the **Wilderness First Aid class**. I know some people may have a few questions before the event, so I put together a quick list of common questions and answers to help you feel ready for the day.
**Q: Do I need any medical background to take this class?**
A: Nope! This class is designed for regular people who enjoy the outdoors. I’ll walk you through everything step by step.
**Q: What should I bring with me?**
A: Comfortable clothes you can move around in, a notebook if you like taking notes, water, and a small backpack if you have one. We’ll be doing hands-on activities.
**Q: Will we be outside the whole time?**
A: We’ll spend some time outdoors for scenarios, so dress for the weather. Part of wilderness training is learning how to work in real conditions.
**Q: Is the class hands-on?**
A: Yes! Expect to practice skills, work through scenarios, and problem solve as a group. This isn’t just a sit-and-listen class.
**Q: What kinds of things will we learn?**
A: We’ll cover how to assess injuries, handle sudden illness, treat common outdoor injuries, and improvise when supplies are limited.
**Q: What if I mess up during a scenario?**
A: That’s actually the best time to learn. This is a safe space to practice, ask questions, and build confidence.
**Q: Do I need to bring a first aid kit?**
A: Not required, but if you have one and want to learn how to use it better, feel free to bring it.
**Q: Is this going to be stressful?**
A: Not at all. It’s interactive and engaging, but also relaxed. We’re here to learn and have a good time while building useful skills.
If you think of any other questions before the class, feel free to message me. I’m really looking forward to training with you all and getting you more confident with outdoor emergency skills! 🌲⛑️
Peace,
