This is just some of the issues.. but to give some more perspective I thought I’d share this... iv tried to make things as positive as I can while also being transparent with all. For an entire YEAR I built my stock for you not keeping a dime just put it back into the business. A year was February.. it’s April.

Also maybe refrain from saying you just stopped in last week. 🤣😭🫶🏻

Thankfully I got paid for march Tuesday morning right before this happened. 🙏🏻

🚨 NEW INFO on the Painted Tree Closure 🚨
After abruptly closing all of its locations, Painted Tree sent vendors an FAQ outlining what happens next — and there’s tough news for both shop owners and customers.

▪️ Vendors will not be paid for March or April sales. Painted Tree says it expects to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, meaning vendors owed money will have to file claims in bankruptcy court, with no guarantee of payment.
▪️ Refunds for prepaid rent or security deposits won’t be issued directly and must also go through the bankruptcy process.
▪️ Painted Tree gift cards are no longer valid. The company says it cannot honor or refund gift cards now that all retail operations have stopped. Gift card holders may have to file a claim with bankruptcy court if they want their money back.
▪️ Stores are only open temporarily for vendors to retrieve their inventory, with access expected through Friday, April 24, depending on landlord approval.

Painted Tree says more details on the bankruptcy claims process will come once the case is officially filed.

We are still in shock.

As of today, Painted Tree has ceased all operations effective immediately. This was completely unexpected, and we were blindsided this morning.

To say we’re heartbroken is an understatement—I have poured everything into this business, and I know so many of you have supported us every step of the way.

But this is NOT the end.

I refuse to let this be the end of sharing clean, non-toxic, amazing products with all of you. We will pivot, we will rebuild, and we will come back even stronger.

In the meantime, I need your help 🤍
If you know of any storefronts, boutiques, salons, gyms, or spaces looking to carry products or host a small setup—please drop them in the comments or message me directly!
