Anyone else at home this summer with the kids running wild? Here’s a mind hack for moms…or anyone else in need of a mental reset!

Even if you can't physically get yourself to that relaxing beach getaway you dream of, find some time in the week to sit down, close your eyes, and let your memory drift to a special scene that makes you feel at ease. Imagine all of the sights, sounds, and smells of the place. Imagine the feeling of being in that place coming alive in your body right now. Sensory meditation is a powerful thing! With it, you can trick your brain into creating the relaxing and calming sensations it would feel as if you were actually in that place. Then...back to potty-training the toddler!

We are Petalou. Two sisters. Twins but not twins. We have spent 4 decades learning with and from each other. We are combining our knowledge and experiences in mental health counseling, teaching, meditating, philosophizing, and therapeutic yoga to share ways we can all live our lives in balance, in health, in peace, and in joy.
