Homemade Soap…is made with fat! 🤯

It seems impossible…right?!?

Wrong!

Combining fats, liquid, and lye together creates a reaction known as saponification.

what’s that?

I’ll keep it simple and say it’s magic…just kidding!

But kinda it is, and if you’ve ever made soap you know what I’m talking about. Especially the first time when it feels like you’ve totally messed up and then BOOM it all comes together! 😂

In reality, all you really need to know is that when you make soap, yes you start with fats and lye, but your final product will be neither of those things. It is now soap! ❤️

So I'm not someone who sets up my phone and records and does all the editing etc. Don't have the time but I did get a few pics of the amazing suds the new dish soap creates when washing.
I'm very happy with it and can't wait for the packing stuff to get here this week so I can get them boxed and on the shelf for sale.
(This is the little Ramiken of mine that I had & filled for us)

When you make a mess making soap it's still a mess lol.
I went with hot process because it's more rustic on the finish as well as faster over all on the wait time.
The dish soap Ramekins are all 6oz solid soaps with bamboo dish brushes. Next in the fun process I will make refill soaps to just drop into your crock.

Make your own all purpose cleaner.
Before you get rid of your Christmas tree 🎄 take clippings and citrus & fill your jars with them. Cover with either white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar and then cover and let sit a few weeks. Strain in a few weeks and dilute 50/50 with water and use.

If you own an instant pot abs haven't made your own bone broth, I challenge you to try. You won't regret it. You can make vegetable broth as well. Couple tips
*save all veggie scraps (even onion peeling) in a zip lock bag in the freezer until full.
*if you cook a whole chicken or ham take the bone after and place in your instant pot. Fill water to max line, set pressure cook on high for max time typically 4 hours. Before the 4 hours is up add time to bring it back up to 4 hours. Strain and place in jars and freeze or can.
*if your eat steaks or chicken then save the bones in a zip lock in the freezer until full.
Bone broth is not only excellent and packed with nutrients & benefits but great for soups, stew, water replacement in potatoes etc. Your fur babies will also be in heaven with it over their food.
You can set your instant pot before you go to bed and it's done when you get up.
