Meet the M.D.! Coeur d’Alene native Dr. Alison Granier joined North Idaho Eye Institute in 2010 after completing her ophthalmology residency at UC Davis. She’s passionate about pediatric eye care, serving the underserved, and improving healthcare systems locally and abroad.

Dr. Granier is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Physicians for Social Responsibility, as well as the local Women’s Gift Alliance.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys yoga, cooking, the outdoors, and family time with her husband and two sons.💙

Keep an EYE out for safety this Halloween!👀 Here are some helpful tips for creating an epic costume without a spooky eye infection:

👻Test for lash glue allergies before applying false lashes.
🎃Don't use expired eye makeup, or makeup that can flake or deposit glitter into your eyes.
🦇Colored contacts without a prescription are a trick, not a treat! Beware of eye infection.

Meet the M.D.!👋 Tad Buckland, M.D. began his general ophthalmology practice with North Idaho Eye Institute in 2007. Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Buckland went to medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, New York.

Dr. Buckland is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology including cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid procedures with a special interest in medical treatment of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetes, and vein occlusions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Buckland enjoys skiing, mountain and road biking, and exploring the many outdoor activities Coeur d’Alene has to offer with his wife and son.
