1. Regulate before you “treat” - when a nervous system is in sympathetic dominance - chronic fight and flight - the body is more reactive, period.
Start with breathwork, downshifting, and safety cues before throwing $$ supplements at allergies.
2. Support histamine clearance, not just avoidance. We tend to focus on avoiding pollen, but your body also needs to process histamine effectively. Think: hydration, liver support, consistent meals, and quality sleep.
3. Use movement to “circulate” inflammation. Gentle movement (walking, mobility work) helps lymphatic flow and can reduce that “stuck,” congested feeling.
❕Bonus but arguably most important:
Mechanical irritation and nervous system stress around the upper cervical spine (brainstem) can impact how the body regulates inflammation and immune responses. Remember, histamine is protective by nature - a system that feels the need to protect itself can be more sensitive to seasonal changes.
