Hi! My name is Victor (Cuffy)York! I’m 69 years old and I’ve been lifting weights for 57 years. I started because I wanted to get bigger and stronger to play sports mainly football and wrestling. It helped because I was team captain of football and wrestling teams in high school and later got a scholarship to The Citadel in Charleston South Carolina. I was coached by Bobby Ross. He later became the national champion at Georgia Tech and went to the Super Bowl with a San Diego Chargers.
I started supplementation after college with Beverly products when I started powerlifting, I became an elite lifter at 181 pounds with a 1500 pound total my best were a 465 pound bench, 550 pound squat and 500 pound dead lift. Unfortunately, heavy weights led to multiple surgeries and joint replacements. Hence the term Bionic Man-I’ve had three rotator cuff surgeries, two hip replacements, knee surgery removing my lateral meniscus, back fusion at L4, L5 with rods and screws and ankle reconstruction with plates and screws.
Today, my Beverly Supplements are UMP protein two times daily. Vanilla is my favorite because you can mix any fruit with it and peanut butter. I also use Creatine Select, Glutamine Select, Lean Out, Keto Musclean , Quadracarn, Super PAC and Ultra 40 liver tabs.
I lift four days a week, two body parts per week I don’t do cardio but I do get 12 to 14,000 steps in daily . I eat pretty pretty clean eggs, salads, broccoli chicken, rice, sweet potatoes and steak. My favorite meal is filet mignon and broccoli and baked potatoes.
I still work in dentistry two days a week seeing patients in my general practice, but my passion is treating people with Obstructive sleep apnea, which affects 90 million people in the USA and 1 billion people worldwide. It’s one of the most damaging medical conditions because only 10% of people have been diagnosed. If left untreated it can cause hypertension, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, increase risk of stroke, weight gain, excessive daytime, tiredness, and brain fog and in children it can cause ADHD
As Henry Ford one said if you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.
