Feeling run down? Every household needs high dose vitamin C on hand!

From the slow changing of seasons to allergies, we could all use some extra support to keep our immunity up!

My family uses Nature’s Sunshine Time Release Vitamin C daily as part of our health routine. At a minimum I take 1,000mg per day up to 10,000mg when I’m feeling under the weather.

I love this specific formula because it contains not just ascorbic acid but also Rose Hips, Acerola Fruit, Rutin, Hesperidin, and Lemon Bioflavonoid Extracts to provide additional herbal phytonutrient support.

LADIES: Skipping breakfast is hurting your hormones!!

While the importance of breakfast has been a back and forth argument in the mainstream, through the lens of the female body it really is the most important meal of the day. This study was not needed to provide more evidence, but is helpful!

Everything our body experiences is a signal. Quality nutrition within the first 30-60 minutes of waking signals SAFETY to the body. The key is that female physiology MUST feel safe enough to reproduce and hence have balanced hormones.

Even if you’re not actively trying to have a family, fertility is a health marker!!

By fasting, downing an iced coffee, working out early, and jumping right into your day the body feels that stress and down regulates s*x hormone processes for those of survival such as cortisol. Long term (like in the modern world) this causes serious hormonal imbalance.

One of the best ways to ensure hormonal and total body health is to watch the sunrise even for just a few minutes followed by a quality meal.

The current paradigm of partying and staying up late on the weekends is already sub optimal, but now is the time to stay low key and restore. It really is crazy how an hour difference in sleep and light timing can throw everything off in the body.

Studies are showing the effects of spring daylight savings:

☀️ increased risk of heart attacks the first week following the spring time change
☀️altered gene expression toward less desired and inflammatory pathways
☀️ decrease in total body cellular energy
☀️ disruption in hormones
☀️ increase in motor vehicle accidents

All of these just from circadian rhythm disruption! Light is the precursor to every single bodily pathway. If you get your light right, you’ll set your body up for success through this transition.

Spring time is approaching which means the body is ready to release accumulated toxicity and stagnancy from this long winter.

One of the easiest ways to give the body the correct tools for healing is to fast according to the Full and New moon cycles! That’s just 2x a month where you either refrain from eating or have a limited diet, for example:

Announcing: Health Through the Seasons! With adjusted pricing 🍃🍂

This includes two different formats of classes per season which work off of one another to provide the most information on how to live in tune with nature.

Seasonal Health Sessions are my typical class format to act as a guide on how the body shifts as the seasons change. These are scheduled around Solstices and Equinoxes to reflect natural cycles.

Herbal Medicine Workshops are make-and-take classes where we'll create a formula for the current season. A lesson on each herb will be provided as well as recipe cards and various ways to use your formula.

There are opportunities to attend each session as a bundle for your greatest value and full experience!

This is why I started Well by The Season in the first place. After years of studying these principles from many perspectives, I'm excited to share them in an easy to understand manner.

🌿 Tips to De-Stress While Caring for Yourself 🌿

Stress happens — but how you respond matters. Here are simple ways to reset and refocus:

✨ Take 5 slow, deep breaths (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 6)
✨ Step outside for fresh air and natural light
✨ Move your body — stretch, walk, or do light yoga
✨ Turn off notifications for an hour
✨ Journal what’s weighing on you
✨ Drink water and eat something nourishing
✨ Listen to calming music or a podcast
✨ Go to bed 30 minutes earlier tonight

Self-care isn’t always big or expensive. Sometimes it’s small, intentional choices that calm your nervous system and protect your peace.

What if you measured success by not what you accomplish but by your ability to perceive possibility and safety?

The modern world rewards the grind, burnout, working all hours of the day, but your body does not. We are rhythmic beings that require both action and rest.

When we are constantly on the go, our bodies are not perceiving safety or hope, it is like doomsday all the time to the nervous system.

Cortisol is pumping, breath is shallow, heart rate is increased, digestion slows… our vitality tanks as this occurs chronically. We become reactive, sleepless, out of touch with emotions.

Even if you’re working out, eating well, and hydrating, without an adaptable and resilient nervous system, health is tough to experience.

The joy of life is dulled, there is constant pressure to perform. Instead of bowing down to what is expected, you can make simple habit changes to boost your days. The truth is, the better you feel mentally and emotionally, the better you can perform when it’s time.

This isn’t about getting rid of hard work or stresses because that’s part of life too. The key is balance and resilience so when those things come up they can be handled accordingly. Your daily habits and thoughts build into this.

Swap late night scrolling or horror movies with reading, spending time with others, breath work, stretching, a hot bath, star gazing.

Hold the caffeine until you have a balanced meal, or switch that coffee for an adaptogenic blend.
