Good morning. I want to give a little update about the pharmacy. Since we are a small pharmacy we only have two incoming phone lines and one fax line. With so many surrounding pharmacies closing we are getting quite a few new patients. We have patients up 80 as far as Soda Springs and several from Grass Valley and Nevada City. Hopefully soon things will settle down but we are asking for your patience as we work through this. I have had complaints from patients that haven’t been able to speak to staff directly and their call is being sent to our voicemail. I apologize for this but our lobby has been full the past 5 days which makes it hard to answer the phones. We have been working earlier to retrieve voicemails and get our escripts and walk in patients filled.
I will sit down with Aeneas this week to see how we can make reaching pharmacy staff easier for patients by maybe adding another phone line.
A way you can help us is be pro active about your medications and notify us at least a week before you run out. We work very hard to assure you are not without your medication but need your help to be successful at this.
Also, please note this very important tip. Those who can get their medicines every 30 days - please remember the 30 days is set not by the calendar but is set by the DATE you come in and pick up and sign for your medicine. It also depends on how your Dr wrote your prescription. If Dr writes must last 30 days we can not fill early unless dr sends us a corrected escript or Dr calls and speaks to pharmacist.
