Congratulations to our Grant Parish Schools District Early Childhood Educator of the Year — Jenna Stanley! 🎉
Our PreK program is full of amazing teachers across the district and Jenna is a true standout. She pours her heart into teaching and continually goes above and beyond to support both her students and her colleagues at South Grant Elementary.
💛 Why she stands out:
Jenna is a collaborative member of our PreK team, always ready to lend a hand or mentor a fellow teacher. This year, she took on the role of mentor for a new PreK teacher, sharing her expertise and helping the team grow together. She supports a wide range of learners—from students with significant needs to typically developing learners.
📚 How she makes a difference:
Jenna is intentional about making learning engaging and meaningful. She incorporates literacy skills into classroom centers and works with her team to do the same, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive. Her focus on creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment helps students feel confident and excited to learn.
🔥 What she’s passionate about:
Jenna is committed to building strong foundations for her students’ educational journeys. She also continues to grow professionally, recently completing her master’s degree and earning her early childhood certification—showing that learning never stops, even for teachers!
She will now proudly represent Grant Parish as she moves on to compete in the LDOE Teacher of the Year competition! 👏
