🚨 Teen substance use is more common than many parents realize.
Over 36% of teens have tried illicit drugs by 12th grade, and today’s culture makes it look “normal.”
Teens are most commonly using:
✔️ Ma*****na
✔️ Alcohol + va**ng
✔️ Misused prescription meds (stimulants, pain pills)
Social media, music, and TV often glamorize partying, numbing out, and “living wild,” which can make risky behavior seem harmless. But the teen brain is still developing — meaning substances can quickly turn into dependency, impaired judgment, and long-term mental health struggles.
✨ Keep the conversation open.
