This is happening right now! S.1095 has moved out of committee and is heading to the Senate floor. If it passes, not only would it criminalize anyone seeking abortion care, but it could criminalize people just for helping someone access abortion care. That means patients, providers, friends, family, and support networks like PSAF. All of us.

We do not have time to wait.

Reproductive rights advocates and physicians warned the restrictions could delay care and worsen doctor shortages in rural areas. “When you criminalize a mom, you’re not just punishing her, you’re punishing her children,” said Ashlyn Preaux of the Palmetto State Abortion Fund.

This bill would criminalize care.

S. 1095 would ban most abortions, remove critical exceptions, target support networks like PSAF, and criminalize doctors and patients, among other things.

This bill will not stop abortion. It only punishes people for needing help.

Take action today by calling and emailing these senators. Word on the street is full committee will hear this bill TOMORROW.

Earlier today, the Senate Medical Affairs Subcommittee heard public testimony on S.1095, yet another anti-abortion bill.

They capped public testimony at just 20 people. Only 20 voices allowed to speak on a bill that would impact thousands across our state.

Thankfully, we were able to get our cofounder on that list.

What you’re hearing in this video is the truth:
This bill doesn’t just target abortion. It targets the people who make care possible.

It criminalizes patients.
It criminalizes support.
It threatens to put mothers—and people who help them—behind bars.

At PSAF, we help people access care every day. Most of the people we serve are already parents. They are making thoughtful, necessary decisions for their families in impossible circumstances.

This bill would punish them for it.

And it would punish anyone who refuses to leave them behind.

South Carolinians deserve care, not criminalization.

PSAF recently reviewed last year’s survey data, and we’re beyond thrilled by the positive feedback. Our volunteers work incredibly hard to ensure every client feels heard, seen, and supported. Knowing that our callers are experiencing that care on their end affirms just how essential this work truly is.

Abortion should always be available, accessible, and free from stigma.

We stopped them once and we can do it again.

An even more extreme abortion ban is back in South Carolina. No exceptions. Not for r**e. Not for in**st. Not even for children. We know what happens when bans pass: more violence, more infant deaths, more lives lost.

This is urgent. This is dangerous. And this is our moment to speak up, again.
