* If you have a body, you’re an Athlete.

Our mission is to connect athletes* to what is important in their lives through world class physical therapy and performance.
* If you have a body, you’re an Athlete. Who We Are:
Our bodies are meant to move, and we have a passion for better movement. We aim to go beyond simple rehabilitation and empower our patients to thrive and pursue excellence by better understanding their pain and how they move. "“I truly believe I have the best job in the world. Every day I get the opportunity to help incredible people continue to do incredible things through movement. There is no objective measure to describe how rewarding that is. There’s really no other feeling like keeping your community moving forward in the ways they love. That is the “Why?” behind being a physical therapist and Salerno Sports Therapy””
— Dr. Jay Salerno

Meet Jay: He is a physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist who understands the demands physical activity places on the body. As a weekend warrior himself, he’s passionate about helping others overcome injury, avoid performance plateaus, and keep doing what they love.

Jay earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from USC, where he became a lifelong Gamecock fan. Outside the clinic, he stays active with marathon and triathlon training, CrossFit, golf, and keeping up with his dogs and son.

Meet Nathan: Originally from Canton, Ohio, Dr. Nathan Adelman earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from UNC Wilmington before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of South Carolina. Following graduation, he began his career as a travel physical therapist, gaining valuable clinical experience while exploring locations across the U.S.

Nathan’s interest in physical therapy was sparked during his high school soccer career after experiencing three ACL tears and reconstructions, giving him firsthand insight into the rehab process. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys golf, tennis, volleyball, running, weightlifting, and hiking with friends. A proud Northeast Ohio sports fan, he cheers on the Buckeyes and Browns — and you’ll also find him supporting his alma mater on weekends.
