Health Disparities Research Network (HDRN)

Health Disparities Research Network (HDRN) HDRN members are engaged in the fight to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities in SC and beyond.

The HDRN was created to increase the capacity of a multidisciplinary team of research faculty from the University of South Carolina, South Carolina’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and other institutions to conduct health disparities research. To accomplish this, the HDRN seeks to: 1) keep HDRN members abreast of funding, manuscript, and other research opportunities and community events; 2) facilitate intra and inter-institutional research as well as community-based partnerships; 3) enhance HDRN members’ skills in grantsmanship and conducting health disparities research, and 4) provide support for interdisciplinary research activities aimed at reducing health disparities.
