Hi, I’m Kala!
I feel blessed to call myself a wife, mother, plant friend, and birth doula. It is my nature to nurture. As a child I was homeschooled and spent a lot of my time frolicking in the woods, connecting with the flora and fauna in Winnsboro, SC. From here we relocated to Greensboro, NC where I attended public school and graduated high school. It was in my senior year of high school when my mother handed me my first herbal book that my heart would follow a calling the child inside of me began years ago. This would evolve into a never ending need to learn more. Fast forward a few years and I find myself in the heart of Columbia, SC and where I met my husband and best friend. We have two beautiful children and a gaggle of animals, along with 100s of plant babies and allies growing on our farm. We own and operate a local family farm, supplying the best greens you’ve ever put in your mouth! Most of our greens can be found at many local restaurants and local markets in Columbia.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn many skills and connect with amazing people. I have attended herbal school, several herbal conferences, worked 10 years at a health food store, studied nursing, received my DONA doula certification, and currently working towards lactation certification.
Serving families alongside Sadie has been a dream, and I hold gratitude for our relationship together. Thank you for learning more about me and what Sadie and I can offer you during your journey into parenthood.
