On Our Own of Howard County Inc. WE PROVIDE PEER SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND SOCIAL CONNECTEDNESS TO PERSONS WITH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONDITIONS IN ANY FORM.

WE SEEK TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS TO BE ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS IN THEIR PERSONAL RECOVERY We have an informal environment for conversation and support. We find mutual benefit from a shared game of cards or having a meal together. We offer activities, classes, and group discussions as well as our coffee house like environment. Please see the monthly calendar page for our current events. We also have Recovery Coaches and Peer Supporters who will be happy to work with you individually. They can offer supportive conversation and support or assist you in creating your own recovery plan. We are an affiliate of On Our Own of Maryland, a pioneer in organizing support for recovery by and for peers. Our program is operated by a private non-profit organization, On Our Own of Howard County, Inc. and funded through generous grants and donations. Our primary funder is the Howard County Mental Health Authority in collaboration with the Howard County Health Department. We receive additional funds from the Columbia Community Service Partnership program, and generous contributions from civic organizations, churches, and concerned citizens.
