1st week of the CrossFit open down, 2 more to go 💪
I am in awe of how much my body has changed in just one month of intentional training. I see muscles growing, fat disappearing, and my weight is actually going up (muscle weighs more than fat). And I love it all!
I am getting stronger and more skilled. Everyday tasks that involve moving, lifting, and running are easier and less painful. I’m even giving my boys a run for their money when we wrestle!!
Working out always has me feeling better mentally and physically afterwords, but it’s still hard to get there sometimes. I want to encourage the people that struggle with getting started. Who get anxious and come up with reasons to stay home when it’s time to leave for the gym.
Any movement you do is better than staying home watching New Girl for the 7th time through. You don’t have to be stronger or faster or whatever than anyone else. You just have to show up and do what you can do in that moment. You can walk, dance, box, jump rope, climb, run, do acroyoga, whatever fits your fancy.
