Since 2009, Maryhaven’s Gambling Intervention Program - led by Abdullah Mahmood, LSW, LICDC-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPS, ICPS - has been helping individuals and families across Central Ohio reclaim their lives.

As one of the top 10 programs in the state, it provides confidential, compassionate care not just for those struggling with gambling addiction, but also for the loved ones impacted by it.

In this video, Abdullah shares early warning signs of problem gambling and how early intervention can change lives.

Our friends at Nationwide brought the spirit of the season - and plenty of pizza - to the women and their beautiful babies at Maryhaven’s Women’s Residential Program, Amy’s Place!

It was a fun-filled Halloween celebration full of laughter, connection, and community.

The women shared stories, smiles, and gratitude while enjoying time together - a reminder that no one walks their recovery journey alone.

We’re so thankful for community partners like Nationwide who show up for our clients in meaningful ways, helping us create moments of joy and belonging while supporting the hard work of healing.

Together, we’re proving that recovery - and community - can be truly life-changing.

Last month, Maryhaven advocates and community supporters Beth and Josh Fenton opened their home - and their hearts - for a truly one-of-a-kind evening benefiting Maryhaven. 💙

Hosted right in their backyard, The Magic of Second Chances brought together friends, family, and supporters for an inspiring night filled with purpose, connection, and a little bit of magic - featuring magician Drew Murray.

For over 70 years, Maryhaven has been helping individuals and families across Central Ohio find hope, healing, and recovery from addiction and mental health challenges.

Thanks to the generosity of events like this, we can continue to change lives and strengthen our community.

Beth and Josh’s goal was simple - to help others understand why Maryhaven’s mission matters and to inspire more conversations about recovery, resilience, and shared strength.
