Let's talk W**d and Detoxification

As of 2024, ma*****na is fully legal for recreational use in 23 states and Washington, D.C. Additionally, 38 states have legalized ma*****na for medical use.

With this stated, for those that are following our challenge for whatever reason, I feel it's important to speak on this topic. Most are habitual smokers and may want to quit but not motivated or can't beat the addiction. I wanted to provide some information ℹ️ to help.

Let's start with some herbs that can assist with kicking the addiction for your next 30 day challenge.
🌿Lobelia - Reduces ni****ne cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Often used as a tincture or in tea. Be cautious of dosage, as it can be potent.
🌿Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) - Soothes the respiratory system and helps cleanse the lungs. Mullein tea or capsules can support lung health and ease breathing.
🌿Skullcap - Calms anxiety and nervousness associated with withdrawals. Can be taken as a tincture, tea, or capsule to reduce stress.
🌿 Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum annuum) - Desensitizes the respiratory system to ni****ne and helps curb cravings. Add cayenne pepper to food or take in capsule form.

Additional natural supplements to help you curb your habit.
💪🏾Exercise: Engaging in regular physical activity helps reduce stress and cravings.
💪🏾Hydration: Drinking plenty of water or herbal teas helps detoxify the body.
💪🏾Mindful Breathing: Practicing deep breathing or meditation can reduce stress and the urge to smoke.

I have challenged myself to heal myself by changing my habits and adding health regimens into my daily activities that will promote good health and a healthy heart.

On 9/15, I made a conscious decision to do and be better. I haven’t incorporated the Merlot or edibles. The Merlot was added because it states this can increase my HDL Cholesterol Levels. The edibles are listed because I have anxiety and I smoked to aid with this. Now realizing all is mind and the mind is mental, I will continue NOT to substitute.

Results from 9/15/24-9/22/24: No candy or junk food, plant-based eating, exercised 5/7 days, consuming my teas daily, and doing my due diligence on reaching heart health and herbs. I learned how to read an stress test ECG last week.

Everyday I am reaching closer and closer to the goals of my challenge. Today I worked out, led by Chief, along with a few of my comrades.

First, let me say it's so important to change your mindset. I didn't want to work out and it was the first thing that came out of my mouth. So to counteract this negative thought, I will begin finding affirmations around working out and start changing my mindset so I can be excited about getting this skinny body whipped back into a canvas.

Anywho, worked out for 45 mins, felt great, about to have a meet and greet with a black-owned prenatal massage therapist, and then go home and spend time with my family. I am trying to alleviate work on Saturdays as I don't give myself days off.

Be the BEST version of yourself daily. Even when it's not your ABSOLUTE best, no one will know the difference 😉

The key to changing your habits and life is your mindset. I challenged myself for 28/30 days to change. The reason why it's conflict is due to my mindset. We as humans tend to lean to things that make us comfortable and when we get uncomfortable when change occurs, we automatically run back to what comforts us. When we do this, we are in exploration of the fixed mindset.

This challenge has made me reflect on my mindset. What I say to myself, how I motivate myself, what I tell myself when I don't accomplish what I set out to do, etc.

Day one, when I realized my lack of planning had already set me up for failure, I could have quit. I could have made excuses to do NOTHING. I could have blamed it on others but instead, I took accountability and responsibilities for my actions and decided to continue to challenge myself, first, by changing my mindset.

It's ok not to be motivated sometimes BUT it's NOT OK to use excuses when you got a goal. Get up and every single day, reach for your goal, changing 1 habit at a time and be patient with yourself along the way.

Divine Rising Family,

Today is 2/6/23 and we are 6 days in. I haven't fully committed myself but each day, I shed a bad habit and begin a good one. The last 2 days I have been consuming my teas. I haven't detoxed just yet because of my cycle but I will begin in another day and begin the detox fully.

Today we are consuming Breathe Easy of The Goddess Collection. I've been drinking this tea and I must say, I am beginning to feel the effects when I am conducting my breath work. I noticed that my breathing was very shallow and taking a deep breath was uncomfortable. I allow all my teas to steep in the sunlight. Drinking richness with the favor of RA.

Staying committed to my goals are challenging and hard but this is why it's called a challenge, it's not meant to be easy. If it's not challenging and developing you, it's not worth your time.

Happy Monday!

Today is 2/3/23
Let's just say being positive has been the catalyst this week because baby...it's been rough.

My Accountability Post 2/1/23

Today was NOT it 🤣 Let's go through what I did wrong first...

1. I woke up a h***y goat 🐐 and fulfilled that desire
2. Mary Jane knocked on my door and I answered
3. I consumed a poor diet today but I am eating so I am not mad
4. Detox'n, I've talked myself out of it because of 1-3

Now the positive portion of my day...
1. I've remained positive and didn't beat myself up for failing today
2. I realized that it's great to have an idea but you have to put the plan in place to execute it
3. Although this was prematurely planned, I am happy I am doing this, I have to start somewhere
4. I got a great s*x work out in this morning 😄
5. I will plan better and each day, I will add to it instead of just doing everything cold turkey.
6. Recited affirmations and stayed positive all day

Moral of the story, take baby steps if you need too, stick the course, be accountable for your flaws and your good, and strive to be a better version of yourself daily. Remember, this is a marathon not a sprint. It took you time to form habits you don't want now, be patient with and love yourself, slow and steady wins the race too.
