Are you feeling unsure about what calcium-rich foods to eat if you are avoiding dairy??π€
Even though following a diary free diet is NOT necessary if you have endometriosis and many of my clients are able to eat diary food without flare-ups. There are still many questions on what dairy free alternatives that can help you meet the calcium requirements if you're trying to limit dairy products.
These are some of my favorites π:
π₯¦ Vegetables like broccoli, Kale, bok choy, spinach, turnip greens
π₯ Nuts, seeds and legumes such as chia seeds, soybeans (tofu with calcium sulfate), pinto beans
π Canned sardines and salmon with edible bones
πIf you are unable to get enough calcium from food, calcium supplements (the most common ones are calcium carbonate and calcium citrate) may be required to feel the gap. Remember to consult a dietitian for your specific supplement needs.
