☘️Dr. Cara spent the evening on a panel discussing the InfantSEE program with optometry students at the University of Houston. Remember all kids should have their first eye exam at 8months of age.

Big news! A new option for myopia management is on the way. Dr. Cara is excited for a 4th option for our patients.

Today, we authorized the marketing of the first eyeglass lenses to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children 6 to 12 years old at the initiation of treatment. https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-authorizes-marketing-first-eyeglass-lenses-slow-progression-pediatric-myopia

The eyeglass lenses may reduce the likelihood of severe eyesight issues later in adult life and carry lower risks than the currently approved treatment alternative for slowing progression of myopia.
