Welcome, I am The Birth Collaborative. I am a mother to an angel baby. I am a wife. I am a vegan. I am a space holder. I am a researcher. I am an educator. I am a friend. I am an advocate. I am a support. I am a confidant. I am a midwifery assistant. I am a doula.
My name is Hanna and I founded The Birth Collaborative in August of 2019. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart since October of 2016. In early 2017, I went on a health journey that forever changed my life. I began researching a plant based diet to heal my body. Down the rabbit hole of enlightenment, I discovered the midwifery model of care and knew this was a path I wanted to be on. After several years of questioning my calling, I finally took the plunge into birth work. My first step in the process was to become a doula. I quickly fell in love with supporting women during their crossover into motherhood. I want to do nothing more than watch women come into their power as they navigate their beautiful pregnancy and labor journey. I feel called above all else in life to be a space holder for the sacredness of birth. Although the picture shown is not myself, this embodies how I want every mother to feel during pregnancy and birth.
Here at The Birth Collaborative, I want to support you through every phase of pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.
I offer comprehensive support, no matter what your birth plan looks like. I provide education on plant based nutrition, essential oils, and high quality supplements to support momma and baby through every step. I pride myself on having the safest products and trainings on the market. I also strive to offer the birthing families the information they need to make educated decisions. I believe in informed consent, and you making your own decisions, based on your own knowledge and research. I want every family to experience birth in a way that makes them feel empowered and supported. No matter what walk of life you are in, or what you want your birth story to look like, I am confident you want The Birth Collaborative as a part of your support team.
We are The Brith Collaborative. We offer holistic birth and postpartum doula services. We take a well-rounded approach to birth and pregnancy support, and have a passion to give every woman the birth she wants and deserves. We want to empower parents to have all of the information, and make infromed decisions, that work best for them and their life.
Some of the services we offer include:
Complimentary Consultation- We meet with the expecatnt momma and partner, and help learn what kind of birth you want. We create a connection, and collectively decide if this is an ideal opportunity. We use this as a chance to get to know you, and as a chance for you to get to know. We attempt to answer any and all questions that you may have, and make sure all parties are understanding of what the next steps would intail.
Prenatal Support- We offer three prenatal vistis, unless specified you would like more. During these vistits, we continue to refine and define your birth plan. We also address issues specific to your pregnancy
Nutritional Advice- The Birth Collaborative takes a plant based approach to nutrition for both baby and mama. Although we will not advise or pressure any mother to eliminate her favorite foods, we will encourage a well rounded nutrition deriving from whole fruits and vegetables. We want to be sure both momma and baby are getting an abundance of vitaminsnutrients both pre- and postnatally. We have studied holistic nutrition personally for several years, and definitely feel a diet high in whole plant foods are the most ideal and beneficial to a pregnant mother, and eventually her new born.
Postpartum Support- Postpartum support is equally as important as birth and the prenatal period. At The Birth Collaborative we put an emphasis on the mental and emotional health of momma and the new family as a whole. We will help in any capacity we are needed. We work with you, and your schedule to meet all of your needs. We provide emotional, cleaning, nutritional, and physical support in the first weeks and months of the fourth trimester.
Lactation counseling- Being a certified lactation counselor gives me the tools to recognize breastfeeding health and welness in both mom and baby. We want to make sure your breastfeeding journey is everything you want and need it to be successfully. We have the necessary resources to get you more support when needed, and make sure your baby is thriving.
Birth- We will be there for you every step of the way. We provide you with the leding edge comfort and care measurs both physically and emotionally. We will adapt your birthing experience to you, and make it everything you need it to be.
