Linda Kay Duvall
Linda Kay Duvall, age 81, of Columbus, Ohio died peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich, RI. She was born on July 27, 1943, in Chillicothe, OH to the late William W. and Louise M. (Ingham) Rose.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Renée (Jon) Fishpaw and son, Jason Richard (Andrea) Duvall. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Claire, Madeline, Grace, Julia and Alex. Also surviving are her younger brothers, Alan L. (Sharon) Rose, Michael W. (Karen) Rose; and younger sister, Lynnette F. (Sherman) VanMeter and many nieces and nephews for whom she cared deeply.
Linda graduated from Chillicothe High School class of 1961. In school she was a clarinet player in the High School Marching Band. After graduation, she enrolled at the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton and graduated in 1964. Following nursing school, Linda’s career spanned more than 40 years of service as a trauma trained Registered Nurse in the emergency department at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She also worked as a Case Manager for Ohio Health HomeReach Homecare.
Over the years, her community service involved instructing nursing aides and LPN pharmacology students with the Columbus School Board. She also volunteered at on-site clinics during Ohio State football games and for the American Red Cross. Her demonstration of skilled precision, resilience, empathy and compassion allowed her to meet the needs of her patients and their families.
Linda was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 21, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road, Columbus. Graveside service and interment will follow at 11 a.m., on Friday, August 22, Floral Hills Cemetery, Rt. 23 South, Chillicothe.
