New Year, same sugar-obsessed owner 👋 🍭 ☁️
I’ve actually never done one of these “get to know me”posts, and no better time to do one than at the beginning of a new year! So here you go, some fun facts about me, Stephanie, the Chief Sugar Officer:
✨ I met my husband Craig playing flip cup at a house party at OU and we had our first date at Subway (such a college romance 🍻). We’re coming up on our 18-year wedding anniversary this year. We have an 8-year-old son, Dexter (nope not named after the show, never seen it) and a dog named Daisy.
✨ I worked for the same company for 16.5 years before retiring from the corporate world to go full time with cotton candy. I had 7 different job titles over the years as I was promoted through the company, and was the Director of Implementation when I left. I got to work with people all over the world (at one point I was the only American on my team!), traveled a lot, and even got to relocate to Limerick, Ireland for a project ☘️
✨ Craig and I moved to Tampa after college for job opportunities and we had season passes to Disney World. One year we went to Disney over 30 times. This was before the phrase “Disney Adults” was around, but we were definitely them 🐭
✨ No, I didn’t start this business because I was obsessed with cotton candy. But I am now, and my favorite flavors are key lime 🍋🟩candy cane❤️🤍, and strawberry lemonade 🍓🍋
✨ I love all of the kids and their reactions to cotton candy, but one of my favorite things is when an older customer who hasn’t had cotton candy in 50+ years is absolutely tickled pink when they take a bite, and tells me it’s taken them back to their childhood. There is nothing that can compare to that look on their faces as they turn into a kid again for just a moment 🥰
