A heartfelt thank you to The Grill for hosting such an incredible evening and for your continued support of our mission.

To the Columbus Police Department and everyone who came out, showed up, and poured into this event, we are truly grateful. Your presence, generosity, and support mean more than you know and directly impact the children and families we serve every day.

It was an amazing night filled with community, purpose, and heart and we couldn’t have done it without each of you.

Thank you for standing with us. 💙

Our hearts are full 💙
We were honored to participate in Tova’s Autism Walk Saturday before last.

Seeing the community come together in support, love, and awareness meant everything to us.
Here are a few highlights from a beautiful day 📸✨

🚨 End-of-year IEP season is here-- and our calendar is filling FAST.

We are actively supporting families across our community with Child Find requests, 504 meetings, and IEP guidance.

As we enter the end-of-year meeting season, our schedule is filling quickly.

Because of this, we are opening a limited number of spots for families who want dedicated support for upcoming Annual IEP Meetings.

This opportunity is for students with existing IEPs where:
✔️ Progress feels limited
✔️ Growth isn’t where it should be
✔️ Or families feel individualized adjustments may be needed

Support isn’t just for when something is wrong—it's also for when progress isn’t where it should be.

📌 Limited, application-based spots
📅 Meetings must be scheduled for mid–late May

We will continue assisting families as needs arise—but this allows us to be intentional during one of the busiest times of the year 💙

🌈 LEARNING MOMENT OF THE WEEK
The Essle Center for Perceptual Development

🧠 Did You Know?

Perceptual development helps children understand and interpret the world through their senses. This includes how they process what they see, hear, and feel.

Strong perceptual skills help children:

✔ Focus and pay attention
✔ Follow directions
✔ Improve coordination
✔ Strengthen communication and learning abilities

✨ Early support can make a powerful difference in a child’s confidence and long term success.

💙 At The Essle Center for Perceptual Development, we are committed to helping children build the skills they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

✨ LEARNING MOMENT ✨

Did you know?
Many children who struggle with focus, behavior, or learning may actually be experiencing challenges with sensory or perceptual processing.

When children learn how to better interpret what they see, hear, and feel, it helps improve:
✔ Attention and focus
✔ Emotional regulation
✔ Communication skills
✔ Confidence and independence

Early support and consistent strategies can make a powerful difference in helping children thrive.

✨ Learning Moment from the Essle Center ✨

Did you know that sensory breaks can make a big difference for children with autism? Small moments like jumping, squeezing, listening to music, or taking a quiet break can help kids refocus, regulate their emotions, and feel more successful throughout the day.

Every child is different, and what works for one may not work for another. That’s why exploring simple sensory strategies can be so powerful at home, at school, and everywhere in between.
