Lactation Consultants and Developmental Specialists Our Focus is to help you reach YOUR goals. Our support is judgment free.

We specialize in prenatal and postpartum lactation and developmental support and education. Our staff includes experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) and Physical Therapists that meet with you in the comfort of your own home! Nurture Columbus supports families on all things infant feeding, including: breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, and weaning. Our team brings a unique multidisciplinary approach with expertise in both advanced lactation care and infant development. We help your little ones optimize their movement and ability to feed by incorporating TummyTime!™ Method and gentle exercises in each consultation.

Many families don’t realize that while we accept most private insurance, we are unable to sustainably bill Medicaid. This leaves some new parents without access to critical support in the first weeks after birth. Your contribution can help close that gap. Our Story

Hello! We are Julie and Allyson and we created Nurture Columbus together in 2018. Julie has a background in Public Health and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC). Allyson is a Physical Therapist (PT) and IBCLC. We provide lactation and infant development support in the comfort of your home! Whether you need help with breastfeeding, returning to work, bottle feeding, or weaning, or maybe just supportive encouragement, our focus is to help you meet your specific needs to reach your goals. Between the two of us we have 15+ years of experience both in hospitals and private practices empowering and educating families on breastfeeding and development. You will often find us around the city advocating for Paid Leave or better access for IBCLC lactation insurance coverage for ALL families. Our work is our passion and we are honored to join each family we support for a piece of their journey!
