Relate & Grow provides developmental intervention services, educational consultation and professional development training that aids families and other caregivers, such as schools and daycare providers, in helping children reach their potential. Our services are based on the DIR (Developmental Individualized and Relationship-based) model of Dr. Stanley Greenspan and the PLAY Project Intervention m
odel developed by Dr. Richard Solomon. These evidence-based intensive intervention services have been shown to be effective for children with autism and other developmental differences. Edward Lott in 2008 as a division of Pro Health Care Services. At that time, it was the only program offering DIR and PLAY Project services in Franklin County. In 2015, under Monica's leadership, Relate & Grow became its own separate entity, a change that allowed the program to accept more participants, expand services in new directions and to collaborate with other organizations with similar missions. Relate & Grow is licensed by The PLAY Project. Monica holds a M.S. in education, and completed additional coursework and training that led her to become a Certified PLAY Project Consultant, Supervisor and Trainer; a Training Leader and Expert DIR/Floortime Provider, and a Profectum Trainer. In addition to her role as Owner and Program Director of Relate & Grow, Monica supervises and mentors other DIR and PLAY Project trainees, has provided training at a national and international level through ICDL (The Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning) and through the PLAY Project organization; and has served as a PLAY Project Supervisor of new trainees through the PLAY Project national organization as well as for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD).
