Columbus Public Health and Franklin County Public Health are investigating and responding to a measles outbreak among five children with no recent history of travel. One additional unrelated case of measles with a recent history of international travel has also been confirmed. All cases were not fully vaccinated.

If you suspect you or a family member has measles: DO NOT arrive at healthcare facilities without notice. CALL FIRST. Immediately call your healthcare provider and let them know about your symptoms so that they can tell you what to do next. Your healthcare provider can make special arrangements to evaluate you, if needed, without putting other patients and medical office staff at risk.
