5 years ago I just thought I was doing yoga really well.
Going deeper. Following the cues. And it felt GOOD.
Meanwhile… I was constantly hyperextending my spine in down dog, aaaaand my shoulders were paying for it 😬

Once I learned how to support the pose instead of sinking into it? The pain disappeared.
